Judge Hutson and her complete lack of discretion in granting the release of William Shae McKay is partially to blame for the death of Deputy Isaiah Cordero of the San Bernardino Sheriff's Department. McKay had committed numerous violent felonies prior to facing Judge Hutson, including assault with a deadly weapon, robbery, and stabbing an on duty police canine. Instead of being sentenced to 25 years for his crimes, as he should have been according to the 3rd strike law, Judge Hutson released him on bail. He was then free to shoot and murder Deputy Cordero in cold blood during a traffic stop. Judge Hutson put this violent felon with a history of attacking the police back on the streets, and for that, she should be removed from her position. She should never be in a situation where she has the power to interfere with the safety of the community ever again.
