We were not notified until the day and time of our trial while at the court 11/30/2022. The attorney was not aware of any cancelations from judge. I had to pay for flights and lodging to CA in hopes of finally getting my divorce finalized. It cost me fees each time the judge cancels the dates, then again was supposed to have the new trial on 3/1/2023 and it was postponed again and now we still do not have a trial date just another trial readiness conference scheduled for 5/19/23 which cost me additional attorney fees.
Message from attorney 11/30/2022 to me: As we discussed this morning, the court was faced with death of a fellow judge’s spouse which required all departments to pick up the calendar for the absent judge. I absolutely understand the frustration, expense and anger this situation has caused.
